In the BJP ruled government it is once again one man two post! Two of the Kannada cinema industry personalities are enjoying it. Earlier it was actress Thara Anooradha elected as Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy Chairperson and then as an MLC she was nominated.
Now it is B Vijayakumar President of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce for 2012-2013. B Vijaykumar is the Chairman of Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation. The difference is that B Vijayakumar was elected in the triangular battle on Saturday evening. He won the post of KFCC President by a comfortable margin of 105 votes. B Vijayakumar defeated BN Gangadhar and SV Rajendra Singh Babu.
B Vijayakumar replaces KV Chandrasekhar who was President from the Exhibitor sector. The term for this year falls to the producer sector. B Vijayakumar is the producer of Kannada films such as Mouna Geethe, Lion Jagapathi Rao, Jagadeka Veera, Simhadriya Simha Kannada films.
The greatness of S A Govinduraju is striking factor of this year election to office bearers of KFCC. When the election to outdoor unit post was tie between SA Govindaraju and JG Krishna with 209 Votes – S A Govindaraju son in law of Dr Rajakumar, brother Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar on the request of Dr Jayamala made a graceful exit leaving the position to JG Krishna who is a well known cameraman of the KFI.
The key members of the KFCC are – B Vijayakumar President, S.A.Chinne Gowda, treasurer, A Ganesh, Secretary Producer sector, K Rajashekar, Secretary Distributor sector, GK Kutty is Secretary Exhibitor sector.
